How to setup ipv6 in my HOSTDARE vps?

Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is the latest version of Internet Protocol(IP),a network layer protocol that allows communication to take place over the network. As the world Internet is running out of IPv4 addresses, we will need to migrate towards IPv6.IPv6 address is 128 bit long and provides a large number of address pools to choose from theoretically allowing 2128, or approximately 3.4×1038 addresses. It is more secure as it built-in IPSec protocol.

IPv6 or Internet Protocol Version 6 is  IPv6 was designed by Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) in December 1998 to deal with the future problems of IPv4 address exhaustion due to the global exponentially growing internet users.

You can find your ipv6 address from vps panel ,

In case you do not see your IPv6 in vps panel, you will need to open a support ticket . You must setup ipv6 manually as static

Prefix length /64

Netmask /64

Gateway :

2607:fcd0:100:b101::1  or

2607:fcd0:100:e::1 or

2607:fcd0:100:b100::1

( for example if your assigned ipv6 is 2607:fcd0:100:b100:0000:0000:92fa:ac1a, then gateway is 2607:fcd0:100:b100::1 )
